PILOTA LOUNGE CHAIR

Design: Studio Brichet-Ziegler, 2021. Starting from a simple construction, this low chair ends in a seat with clean, strong lines. It's built from two rolled, painted sheet-metal shells, their hollow bodies covered by the seat and backrest. Despite the simple structure, the generous shapes create a bold silhouette and a comfortable, sculptural seat. As with all handmade pieces, irregularities in the metal base or fabric top, and colour variations, are part of the process, not a flaw. Base in rolled lacquered steel; top in plywood upholstered in leather, textile leather, cord, faux fur or wool.
