Langue Dining Chair
Design: Rune Krøjgaard & Knut Bendik Humlevik, 2011. Fittingly, "Langue" is French for "tongue" — a nod to the chair's seat shape. It reimagines the classic shell chair: the seat starts wide, maximising legroom, then narrows toward the back, almost forming a waist, while an elastic backrest adds comfort when leaning back. The shell comes in three finishes — polypropylene, upholstery, or soft upholstery with 3 cm foam — on legs in chrome or black steel. Legs in powder-coated or chrome steel; seat shell in polypropylene, with or without upholstery in fabric or leather.
