Nomad Lounge Chair

Design: Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl, 2017. The Nomad chair is a Nordic interpretation of the traditional Moroccan wicker chair — its name is actually a contraction of "Nordic" and "Moroccan." It reinterprets the classic, complex wicker chair by simplifying joints down to their function only, with a back leg running from floor to top of the backrest in a single piece. Seat and back are two large moulded bamboo frames with inlaid natural French rattan, whose semi-transparent surface keeps the large silhouette visually light. Comes with a neck pillow (3 height settings, adjusted with brass knobs) and a seat cushion in cognac or black aniline leather. Frame in bamboo with rattan inlay, water-based clear lacquer; cushions in foam and aniline leather.
