KOKESHI FLOOR LAMP

Design: Kai Linke, 2020. Designer Kai Linke, deeply influenced by Japanese culture, draws inspiration from traditional kokeshi dolls and their slender, oval form. His stylised interpretation pairs a tactile ceramic torso with a delicately hand-blown glass head that emits a soft glow. The result is a quietly expressive object balancing craftsmanship, cultural reference and contemporary design. As with all handmade glass and ceramic pieces, irregularities in thickness, colour variations, small bubbles or bumps are part of the process, not a flaw. Head in hand-blown glass; base in ceramic.
