MENHIR CONSOLE
Design: Giotto Stoppino & Lodovico Acerbis, 1983–2020. With a daring approach to materials, Menhir becomes a composition of colours and textures that eloquently illustrates the sculptural simplicity of Stoppino and Acerbis's invention of new forms. The name itself is Breton in origin, referring to the megalithic stone monuments of the British Isles and France — the archetype of the column that inspired the design. With a Greek-like classicism, the table's steel column connects a monumental marble base to a top available in dark-stained walnut, black ash, lacquer, or cast glass, creating a striking exchange between colours and elements. Tops and bases can be freely combined to create endless configurations, used individually or in groups. Base in matt marble on an epoxy powder-coated black steel column.
