GONG SIDE TABLES
Design: Gianfranco Frattini, 1987–2020. Emblematic of Frattini's rigorous style, Gong reemerges with his quintessential grace and flair of form, now in diverse heights and diameters. It's a family of proportions suited to sculptures, plants and other decor. Two metal discs of different widths, one for the base and one for the slightly concave top, are joined by a hexagonal stand through small metal spools. The piece was selected for the XV Compasso d'Oro Award in 1989. Entirely in metal, painted in matt gunmetal or orbital bronze, or in a two-tone version with a brushed-brass stand contrasting the top and base.
