TRENCH SOFA

Design: Philippe Malouin, 2025. Trench embodies Philippe Malouin's vision for Acerbis: sofas and armchairs that reinterpret upholstered seating through new proportions. Its pure, almost ancestral form exudes a sculptural presence. A single fluid curve shapes both seat and backrest, giving the piece its exceptional comfort. Trench achieves a striking visual lightness, elevated on two legs set perpendicularly to the frame in an almost suspended configuration. The armrests are impeccably integrated — available fixed, or as independent elements that can be freely repositioned for tailored comfort. Seat structure in steel, covered in differentiated-density polyurethane; legs in plywood, also covered in polyurethane, with thermoplastic feet. Completely upholstered, non-removable.
